LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT:
To EDMC Education Foundation Friends:
Welcome, friends, to the EDMC Education Foundation website. In 2009, we are right on course in our endeavor to create more scholarships for students in need. Now, in light of global economic troubles, we emphasize the importance of scholarships--as students face the credit crunch and alternative loans become harder to obtain.
We are proud of our constituents, who have continued to give generously even when it meant digging deeper into their pockets. Take a moment to read the stories about our student scholarship winners here on the web, and get a glimpse of the caliber of students you support.
Did you know that, if you are an employee of an EDMC school, you can join the Payroll Deduction Program? What a wonderful (and painless) way to help a student with your tax deductible dollars, simply by donating a small amount from your bi-weekly paycheck! Contact your school's HR department for the Payroll Deduction Form or go to the scholarship page on this website, click on your school group, and download the form. Return the form to your HR representative.
Thank you, to all of the folks who help to keep the Foundation alive in its goal to raise scholarship funds: from friends of the schools, to scholarship committees at the schools who work hard to both raise and award funds. 2008 proved a great year for the Foundation and the students it supports, and we hope to have an even better 2009. Please continue to share your feedback about this website and Foundation activities. And don't forget to request a copy of our E-newsletter by emailing us at kfitzpatrick@edmc.edu.
Warm Regards,
Daniel A. Levinson,
President
