Ronald R. Russ Memorial Scholarship Awarded to Accounting Student | | | | | | |  This year, Traci Hand, an accounting major at Brown Mackie College - Salina, Kansas, received an ongoing scholarship set up by Donna Russ and children, in memory of Donna's late husband, Ronald Russ. Ronald Russ graduated from Brown Mackie College with a degree in accounting. Donna Russ worked at Brown Mackie College in the late 1940's.
Ronald and Donna met at the college, later married and had three children. Ronald Russ passed away in 2005. The Russ family set up the scholarship fund for second-year accounting students and this is the third year in its history. In the photo, above, Randall Russ, son of Donna and Ronald, presents Traci Hand with her Russ Memorial Scholarship. Academic excellence, financial need and a written essay are considered for the annual scholarship.
