South University-Tampa
Showcases an Exceptional Graduate/Scholarship Recipient
Hard work and dedication are critical to success. Loving what you do, however, is what catapults an individual to levels of greatness. Eduardo Lopez loves the idea of being a registered nurse. He recently graduated from the Tampa Campus of South University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Accomplishing this lifelong goal has not been easy, but he has put in many hours buried in his textbooks and getting hands-on experience through thousands of hours of clinical and volunteer opportunities.
Along the way, Eduardo has been recognized as a two-time recipient of both the Education Foundation Scholarship and Osceola Regional Hospital Scholarship, as well as the 2010 McLane Distribution Scholarship.

Four Students at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Receive Education Foundation Scholarships for Their Work on Pop Tart® Pop Art Project | | | | | | | Kelloggs asked the question, "What would you do with a million Pop-Tarts®?" Tyler Kozar, a student at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh replied - He would create Pop-Art using the boxes and wrappers.
Over 1,000 entries were sent in for the competition. Tyler was one of the five finalists. Voting was held on Facebook for the duration of one week. In order to vote people had to "Like" the Kellogg's Pop-Tart® page then click on a contestant. Once voting was completed, Tyler and the other finalists received a round trip to New York City where they announced live the winner of 1,000,000 Pop-Tarts®.
Tyler's plan does not stop at creating just artwork. He will be donating Pop-Tarts® to local food banks, charities and soldiers.
Five weeks after accepting a prize delivery of one million Pop-Tarts® toaster pastries, Tyler Kozar, a student at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, unveiled an over the top display of pop art made from Pop-Tarts®. Held in the gallery at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Kozar’s creations included an assortment of Pittsburgh inspired artwork and a mixture of pieces ranging from 3D exhibits to life-size sculptures, fun framed displays and even a larger-than-life, 14-foot tall Tyrannosaurus Rex, the school’s beloved mascot.
“I am very excited to bring my vision and creativity to life using one-million Pop-Tarts®, while also paying tribute to the Pittsburgh area and some of the great pop artists,” said Kozar. “My team and I have been working really hard on the exhibit and we’re happy to finally share it and see people enjoying the finished Pop Art!” Matt Michalko, Amelia Rising, Leslie Cook, and Tyler Kozar (shown from left to right in the photo above) received scholarships from The Education Foundation for the work they did on this amazing project.
“From the frosting, sprinkles and delicious flavors to its colorful packaging and one-of-a-kind imagery, the Pop-Tarts® brand has always been about creativity and fun,” said Zena Arnold, Pop-Tarts® senior brand manager. “Our heritage comes from the pop art craze in the sixties, and we are thrilled to give Tyler the chance to take that creativity to a whole new level and are so excited to see the art come to life!”
